Sweet Treats near Reets Retreat [25th Jan 29483]
by Dee Rothernberg

Last Ditch, STRET WEST. On January 2nd of this new year, Tresa Burke, who goes by the nickname "Cylie" opened up a small bakery in last ditch. The former Internal Ops Agent and mother of two said in an interview that she always wanted to do things on her own and had always thought it would be an amazing feat to start her own business baking goodies for the community.

In October, the punky character she is, decided that the Corporation life was not for her anymore and that she was going to pursue her dream. She bought a property in Last Ditch between Reet's Retreat Lounge and the Wompah De-pot. A perfect spot amongst other vendors and shops. "It was really hard leaving the corporation because it was my whole life...and it was my family, but this is something I needed to do", Burke said.

Burke says she is currently making traditional baked goods but also plans on creating her own specials at the request of her friends. Next week her first special will be the "Wyrd Cookie" which is named after a close friend of hers. The cookie will be the color green with a mint flavor, and chocolate chips which is inspired by his favorite colors and his personality.

Burke says that eventually she would like to see herself moving into the restaurant business and possibly growing into a chain. But for she's sticking to cookies, muffins, and lovely treats.

I encourage everyone to come by and some of these sweet treats!
