It has been many months since the name Zhere Vryst has appeared in Rubi-Ka's press. But it would seem that lack of information is not a lack of the thing itself, as recent reports and rumours suggest that this criminal is still very much active despite the attempts of many.

The nanomage smuggler who featured in previous Newland News articles (archived here) has remained elusive since her dramatic capture and escape in Newland, 29480. But has been recently implicated in a series of crimes, including the theft of large sums of money from organisation banks.

Speculation and rumours about this character have recently reached new heights with reports of acts of torture and confidence tricks. One such organisation said to be victims of such crimes are Neutral, Last Ditch based organisation Lumen Orien.

Llesa Varela, the Lumen Orien president has offered an increased reward for any information leading to the capture of Zhere Vryst. Currently this reward figure stands at five million credits.

"The circumstances force us to offer a reward of five million credits to anyone who can give information leading to the capture of notorious criminal Zhere Vryst." Ms. Varela told us. "She caused us not only financial loss, but more importantly she seriously injured some of our members and attempted to murder one of them. Any help will be greatly appreciated."

Ms. Varela plans to approach the Newland City Council at their meeting tomorrow to petition for help in this matter, since it was in Newland that Vryst was originally arrested and from Newland that she later escaped. With ever rising crime figures, it remains to be seen how much focus the Newland Council and Militia will be able or willing to put into this particular case.
