To the Editor,

Good luck! I heard from my neighbour who heard it from a friend that you'll be doing an Eye On Last Ditch feature! Great! I'm really looking forward to it. This town can get so overlooked, but there's almost always something going on. Only the other day I looked out of my window and saw Mrs. [name removed - Ed.] inviting a very suspicious-looking character into her apartment in the dead of night - almost eleven p.m. RST!! The next day I overheard her telling her friend, [name again - Ed.], some cock-and-bull story about a plumbing emergency. I happen to know for a fact that at eight p.m. on the night in question, she was watering her pet direseeds (Imagine having such a creature in our little town!!) with perfectly fine water-pressure. I know because I remember thinking that she'd end up using the whole town's water supply at that rate. Very fishy business if you ask me. Well there you are, might be worth a look into, don't you think?

Gene.
Dear Sir,

Firstly, let me tip my hat to the comeback of Newland News and wish it all the best. Personally I'm an IRRK exclusive reader myself. And so, for the last couple of years my loving wife has been near-constantly reminding that it was my fault that she has been deprived of, shall we say, more lighthearted and entertaining reads since the last issue of this magazine. For this I apologise. For the lack of curling-tongue related accidents I so blissfully look forward to in the furture, I thank you. I have also been instructed to write that I hope to hear more about the rising crime rates of which we live in such perpetual fear. It has been pointed out to me (rather forcefully I might add) that an increased number of investigators, reporters or otherwise, can never be a bad thing. However, let us hope that General Hekkat and his merry-men are seen to be making as much progress as possible with the crime problems before Omni-Pol see an oppertunity, if you know what I mean.
